Hello, I'm Amelia
I am a project manager. A parent. An expat living in London, United Kingdom.
Several years ago, I moved here with my family. What began as a short-term contract gradually became a new chapter abroad.
How It Began
Moving to United Kingdom wasn’t in the master plan. Like many expat moves, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something much larger.
The initial months were demanding — new systems, new routines, new expectations. Everyday tasks seemed tougher than they should.
The Adjustment Phase
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and plenty of learning by doing. Yet gradually, routines took shape. We found places that worked for us, met other families, and began building something that felt steady.
Why I Created FenorLazimVex
Most information online was either corporate-level relocation advice or surface tourism content. What was missing was an honest, everyday family perspective.
This site exists to fill that gap — practical guidance rooted in real life in United Kingdom.
